Dallas restaurant NDA Brasserie, now open, emphasizes breakfast and lunch

If you’re looking for a spot for a business breakfast or lunch, that can be a challenge in Dallas-Fort Worth. NDA Brasserie in Dallas’ Harwood District is a stately spot specializing in those two meals.

We can picture businesspeople here, eating eggs Benedict at breakfast or a French dip at lunch.

NDA Brasserie opened April 1, 2024 in Dallas.

It’s one of the only new sit-down restaurants in Dallas that’s doing breakfast and lunch only. (See also: Mirador in downtown Dallas.) NDA Brasserie will open for happy hour and dinner for private events only.

It’s in the Harwood District, a 30-acre neighborhood between Victory Park and Uptown Dallas. For years, the neighborhood was anchored by the Rolex building and across-the-street patio restaurant Saint Ann. Today, the Harwood District is bursting with new towers, including the Hotel Swexan, one of the priciest new hotels in Dallas.

NDA is the Harwood District’s 20th restaurant, said Natalie Hurley, director of hospitality marketing for Harwood Hospitality. More are coming.

NDA, a play on non-disclosure agreement, could be a covert place to talk business. NDA gets its name because it’s on the first floor of a building with law firm Haynes and Boone as its anchor tenant. Playing to the theme, art on the walls includes Vanity Fair drawings of judges and legislators.

Interestingly, NDA is one of the few restaurants in Harwood’s fleet that serves American food. Its neighbors are Dolce Riviera (high-end Italian), Harwood Arms (European pub food), Mercat Bistro (French) and Te Deseo (Latin American). It’s all part of a master plan: “The vision was to create a city within a city,” Hurley said of the Harwood District.

The 27-story tower that houses NDA Brasserie is Harwood’s tallest building so far, The Dallas Morning News reported at its opening in mid-2023. Eventually, a Japanese steakhouse will open above NDA Brasserie. It’ll be pricier than NDA and open at dinnertime.
