Since its doors opened in 1984, the Rolex building has been an Uptown landmark. Recently, construction was completed on the lobby area and a seventh floor penthouse added to offer additional office space with garden and arena views. This expansion has allowed new tenants to join long-term tenants many of whom have been in the building since its opening. The building features an atrium-style lobby centered around a fountain with an impressive Rolex clock rising above it that is accessible from a front circular drive, the parking garage, and the International Center Gardens via a skybridge.
The Rolex Building, the first phase of development at Harwood International Center, overlooks a 1.5 acre European-style garden which was constructed in 1996 to cleverly disguise the Centex Building's garage. This extraordinary green space creates not only a fabulous view, but also a retreat from the work environment where lunches, breaks, and special events are enjoyed year round.
