UPTOWN-BASED, INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPER, HARWOOD INTERNATIONAL, HONORED AT THIS YEAR’S BOMAs WITH 2007 TOBY AWARD
FAMED ROLEX BUILDING DUBBED OFFICE BUILDING OF THE YEAR
DALLAS – Recently, the Dallas Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) held its annual awards and honored real estate developing giant, Harwood International. Its inaugural project, the famed Rolex Building, was given BOMA’s TOBY award (The Office Building of the Year) in the 100,000 – 249,999 square foot category.
“Almost two decades ago, we began the Harwood International Center with the Rolex Building, and it thrills us to know years later, it is still the benchmark for upscale office space in North Texas,” said Harwood International CEO, Gabriel Barbier-Mueller. “Our philosophy has always been to create the best real estate experience possible, and to this day, Rolex maintains a 100 percent occupancy rate.”
TOBY winners were recognized for excellence in office management and operations in various categories. Each entry in this year’s category proved that building management exceeded the contemporary standards in tenant/employee relations, energy management systems and accessibility for the disabled and overall quality indicators.
“Twenty years ago, we knew we were setting a new benchmark for premier, Class A office space,” said Rolex Property Manager, Vickie M. Fentz, CPM. “Every aspect of this special office community has been masterfully planned with prestine conditions of the entire campus to the sophisticated environment found on every floor of Rolex.”
Harwood International Center continued its innovative and revolutionary approach to building design and corporate office management with its next phases: the Centex building (Phase II); potential entry for next year’s competition, Jones Day building (Phase III); 2828 Harwood (Phase IV); and set for groundbreaking this year, Saint Ann Court (Phase VI), which is set to redefine luxury Class AA buildings and corporate environments, such as Harwood has developed in Uptown Dallas.
The next step for Harwood International and the Rolex Building is the BOMA August Regionals held in Little Rock, Ark. For more information about the Rolex Building or Harwood International Center, find them online at www.HarwoodInc.com.
